Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of Qubo. By downloading or using the App, you agree to them.

1. The App

Qubo helps you create, customize, save, and share static QR codes. The App works without an account and keeps its editor data on your device. The free App may show occasional third-party advertisements.

2. License and store terms

You receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use Qubo for lawful purposes on devices you own or control. Your use is also subject to the applicable app store’s terms, including Apple’s standard End User License Agreement when it applies. If these Terms conflict with mandatory app-store terms, the mandatory terms control to the extent of the conflict.

3. Your content

You keep ownership of the text, URLs, contact details, images, logos, and other content you use to create a QR code. You grant Qubo only the device-level access needed to process that content at your direction and provide the App’s features. Qubo does not acquire ownership of your content.

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights and permissions to encode, display, export, or share the content and any logo you select.

4. QR code responsibility

A QR code can reveal its encoded content to anyone who scans or receives it. You are responsible for reviewing the content before sharing it and for deciding whether the destination, message, Wi-Fi credentials, contact details, or other encoded information is appropriate for your audience.

Scanning behavior depends on the camera, scanner, operating system, print quality, size, contrast, damage, and environment. Qubo does not guarantee that every exported QR code will scan on every device or remain suitable after resizing, editing, printing, or distribution. Test important codes in their final form before relying on them.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Qubo to violate law, infringe another person’s rights, impersonate others, deceive recipients, distribute malicious destinations or content, evade security measures, interfere with the App, or reverse engineer it except where applicable law expressly permits.

6. Local storage, permissions, and backups

Qubo stores the current editor draft, design choices, selected logo data, and related settings locally. Selecting a custom logo or saving an image may require operating-system permission. Denying or revoking access may make the related feature unavailable.

Deleting the App, clearing its data, losing the device, or changing backup settings may permanently remove app-managed data. You are responsible for keeping copies of exported QR codes and other files you need.

7. Exports and third-party destinations

Qubo can save or share PNG and SVG files. When you share an export, you choose the destination through your operating system. Third-party apps, cloud providers, printers, websites, and recipients operate independently and may apply their own terms, fees, and privacy practices. Qubo is not responsible for their handling of a file after you share it.

8. Advertising and external services

Qubo uses Google AdMob to provide occasional interstitial advertisements and Google User Messaging Platform to present privacy choices where required. Ads and consent services depend on Google’s systems and may be unavailable, delayed, or subject to separate terms. Qubo’s handling of advertising information is described in the Privacy Policy.

Crash diagnostics may be provided by Sentry, and the optional contact form is provided by Tally. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Qubo does not guarantee third-party availability or content, and an advertisement does not constitute the developer’s endorsement of the advertised product or service.

9. Intellectual property

Except for your content and third-party materials, the App—including its software, interface, visual design, branding, and documentation—is owned by the developer or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

10. Updates and availability

Qubo may change over time. Features may be added, modified, suspended, or removed, and an update may be required for continued use. Reasonable efforts are made to keep the App available and reliable, but uninterrupted or error-free operation is not guaranteed.

11. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Qubo is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, QR readability, destination safety, or uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages; loss of QR projects, exports, profits, credentials, or data; reliance on an unreadable or incorrect QR code; third-party destinations or advertisements; device failure; revoked permissions; or events outside reasonable control. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

13. Termination

You may stop using Qubo at any time and uninstall it. Your permission to use the App ends automatically if you materially violate these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability—will survive.

14. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated to reflect changes to Qubo or applicable requirements. The effective date will be revised, and material changes will be communicated through the App or its store listing when appropriate. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

15. Contact

Questions about these Terms may be submitted through Qubo’s contact form.
